Clare Patterson

Clare is a 500hr trained teacher, y4c trained teacher and mentor, and a yoga professional at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan.  She teaches group classes to survivors, patients, and caregivers as well as privately one-on-one.  Having first come to the practice of Yoga while studying theatre in college, she continued her practice post-college in addition to martial arts and dance.   A pediatric cancer survivor,  cancer wasn’t something she thought about often until experiencing a latent side effect of radiation 18 year post-treatment.   No longer able to work at a computer and experiencing debilitating ocular migraines, she turned more heavily to the healing power of yoga.  In 2014 she completed her 200hr training at Jaya Yoga in Brooklyn, followed by y4c with Tari Prinster in 2016 and 300hr with Carla Stangenberg & Ramit Kreitner of Jaya in 2018.  She believes Yoga can be practiced by all ages, body types, and abilities.  Sharing the transformative and life-changing practices have been a joy and a gift.  Thank you to Tari and the y4c team.
