The focus of this class is bone and balance building. Bones are the FOUNDATION of our body. They can become weak from cancer treatments and for all of us, through the natural process of aging.
It is common knowledge that weight bearing exercises help to build and maintain bone density. Muscles play a significant role in the bone building process. If your skeleton was the frame of your ‘house’, muscles keep your house upright. They make bones stronger and prevent us from falling over. In other words, the stronger your muscles, the better your balance and the stronger your bones.
In this class, we explore and experience how weight-bearing and balancing yoga poses keep our body foundation healthy and strong and prevent the ‘house’ from falling down.
