The focus of this class is range of motion with Teri Gandy-Richardson. Often after cancer treatments and surgeries can restrict range of motion. It's important for cancer patients and survivors to regain range of motion to maintain quality of life and normal daily functioning. This Oncology Yoga class is designed to improve range of motion for the upper torso and mitigate other side effects common to cancer patients and survivors.
Yoga has been proven to be effective in managing short and long term side effects and improve long term health. American Cancer Society and other oncology organizations recommends a minimum of 150 minutes of yoga per week for all cancer survivors.
